Welcome to The Rare Village Foundation (“RVF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website, services, or participating in our programs, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
RVF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families of children with rare diseases fundraise for research, treatments, and support. Our services include fiscal sponsorship, fundraising guidance, and educational resources.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old or have a legal guardian consent to use our services.
- By using our services, you represent that all information you provide is accurate, truthful, and current.
3. Use of Services
- RVF grants families and fundraisers access to fiscal sponsorship and other services at our discretion.
- You may use our services only for lawful purposes consistent with RVF’s charitable mission.
- You may not use our services to engage in fraud, harassment, or any illegal activity.
4. Donations and Fundraising
4.1 Domestic Funds
- Donations made to RVF or through RVF fiscal sponsorship are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by U.S. law. Donors should consult a tax advisor for individual guidance.
- RVF may retain administrative fees to cover operational costs as outlined in program agreements.
- Donor contributions are generally non-refundable, except as required by law.
4.2 International Funds
- RVF may fiscally sponsor fundraising for international projects. All international funds are subject to:
- Use exclusively for charitable purposes consistent with RVF’s mission and IRS regulations.
- Compliance with applicable U.S. laws, including anti-terrorism and anti-money-laundering regulations.
- Potential foreign banking, currency, or regulatory restrictions.
- Possible delays in disbursement or financial reporting.
- RVF disclaims liability for legal, political, or logistical issues arising after international funds are disbursed under our sponsorship.
5. Privacy and Data
- By using RVF services, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
- We do not share personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide services or comply with legal requirements.
6. Intellectual Property
- All content on our website, including logos, text, graphics, and materials, is owned by RVF or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission from RVF.
7. Limitation of Liability
- RVF provides services “as is” and makes no warranties regarding fundraising results or outcomes.
- RVF is not responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including international disbursements.
- Families are solely responsible for compliance with all local, state, federal, and foreign laws regarding fundraising and donations.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RVF, its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.
9. Termination
- RVF reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to services at any time, without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any reason deemed necessary.
- Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of RVF services.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to Terms
- RVF may update these Terms at any time. The “Effective Date” at the top reflects the most recent update.
- Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
